WWE is heading into the first RAW of 2022 with a new WWE Champion. Brock Lesner dethroned Big E - pinning him with the F5 in the main event of Saturday’s Day 1 pay-per-view.

Lesnar was added to the WWE Title match - making it a 5-Way - after his original opponent, Roman Reigns, was pulled from the show after testing positive for COVID-19.

Becky Lynch is still the RAW Women’s Champion. She pinned Liv Morgan with the Manhandle Slam at Day 1.

The Usos beat King Woods & Kofi Kingston to retain the SmackDown Tag Titles.

Team RK-Bro held onto the RAW Tag Titles by beating the Street Profits.

Also on the show…Edge pinned The Miz after Beth Phoenix arrived on the scene to run off Maryse.

Drew McIntyre beat Madcap Moss. But after the match, Moss and Happy Corbin attacked McIntyre backstage and Pillmanized his neck with a steel chair.

WWE tweeted late Saturday night that McIntyre “suffered a cervical neck strain with severe contusions.”

On the kickoff show, Sheamus essentially won a 2-on-1 match against Cesaro & Ricochet. Sheamus’ partner Ridge Holland was knocked out of the match after a rough landing by Ricochet. Holland suffered a broken nose.

In Japan on Tuesday…it’s Night 1 of New Japan’s Wrestle Kingdom 16 in Tokyo Dome!

Shingo Takagi defends the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against Kazuchika Okada in the main event. Will Ospreay awaits the winner on Night 2 of Wrestle Kingdom on Wednesday.

Also on Tuesday’s Night 1 card…Katsuyori Shibata returns to the ring. He’ll wrestle a match under “catch wrestling” rules. His opponent has not been announced.

Hiromu Takahashi challenges El Desperado for the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title…

Taichi & Zack Sabre Jr. defend the IWGP Tag Titles against Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI…

Tomohiro Ishii defends the NEVER Openweight Title against EVIL.

Plus, SHO vs. YOH.

The opening match is the New Japan Ranbo…with the final four advancing to a four-way on Wednesday for the KOPW 2022 trophy.

The start time is 2 AM Eastern on Tuesday LIVE on New Japan World…

No title changes at Pro-Wrestling NOAH’s show on New Year’s Day.

GHC Heavyweight Champion Katsuhiko Nakajima turned away the challenge of Go Shiozaki…and Kenoh retained the National Title against Kaito Kiyomiya.

KENTA’s return to NOAH saw him on the winning side of a 6-Man Tag

Tony Khan got himself into some hot water on Twitter Friday night. Responding to comments by Big Swole on a podcast, Khan tweeted that he let her AEW contract expire because he “felt her wrestling wasn’t good enough.”

Rohit Raju, who was appearing regularly in Impact Wrestling and is a former X-Division Champion, announced Sunday night that he is now a free agent.

Homicide is the #1 Contender for the GCW World Title currently held by Jon Moxley. Homicide earned the shot by winning a battle royal at GCW’s “Die 4 This” show on New Year’s Day.

The Briscoes beat Alex Zayne and Blake Christian to retain the GCW Tag Titles.

Alex Colon beat John Wayne Murdoch to retain the Ultraviolent Championship.
