I’m Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Friday, December 3, 2021.

This update is brought to you by IndyWrestling.us.

(STINGER: WWE)

The return of Brock Lesnar is being promoted for tonight’s SmackDown in San Antonio, Texas. Lesnar has been off of WWE TV since late October - when he was hit with a storyline suspension for laying out Adam Pearce.

As of Thursday night, no matches are announced for Friday’s SmackDown.

WWE is postponing four live event dates in Canada scheduled for next month. No reason was given. A pair of Canadian dates at the end of this month - including a show in Toronto - are still going on as scheduled.

Beth Phoenix announced Thursday she will step away from the announcer’s desk on NXT following Sunday’s WarGames pay-per-view.

A sudden ending to a championship match on Thursday’s NXT UK.

Ilja Dragunov defeated Rampage Brown via referee stoppage to retain his UK Championship. The end came when Dragunov connected with a somewhat innocuous-looking kick to Brown’s head. But it apparently rocked Brown because he stayed down and the ref called for the bell.

Meiko Satomura is still the NXT UK Women’s Champion. He successfully defended her title against Xia Brookside.

Also on the show, Saxon Huxley beat Kenny Williams.

(STINGER: AEW)

The TNT Championship is on the line on tonight’s AEW Rampage. Sammy Guevara defends against Tony Nese.

FTR will face Penta El Zero Miedo & PAC. This was originally set to be an AEW Tag Title match, but Rey Fenix was pulled due to travel issues.

Also tonight, Jade Cargill will be in action against Janai Kai.

(STINGER: Impact)

The main event for Impact Wrestling’s Hard To Kill pay-per-view is now set. It’ll be Moose defending the Impact World Title in a 3-Way...against Matt Cardona and W. Morrissey.

Cardona & Eddie Edwards beat Moose & Morrissey in last night’s main event. Cardona caught Moose in a rollup and pinned the champ. After the match, Morrissey laid out Moose. That alliance is apparently OVER.

Rachael Ellering earned a spot in the Knockouts’ Ultimate X Match at Hard To Kill with a win over Savannah Evans.

Also last night, Rich Swann & Willie Mack beat Violent By Design’s Joe Doering & Deaner...

Chris Sabin pinned Matthew Rehwoldt with the Cradle Shock...

And JONAH squashed Jai Vidal.

Jake Something beat Bullet Club’s Hikuleo on Before The Impact.

(STINGER: ROH)

Shane Taylor Promotions will defend the ROH 6-Man Tag Titles at Final Battle next weekend. BUT Taylor himself already has a match...against Kenny King. So, it’ll be O’Shay Edwards alongside the Soldiers Of Savagery, defending the gold against The Righteous.

This weekend’s ROH TV has...Mandy Leon vs. Willow. The winner challenges Rok-C for the ROH Women’s Title at Final Battle.

Also on this weekend’s episode, ROH World Champ Bandido in a non-title match against PJ Black.

Lady Frost is pulling out of the NWA’s Hard Times 2 pay-per-view on Saturday night due to illness.

(STINGER: New Japan)

New Japan’s Best Of The Super Juniors tournament resumes Friday.

The World Tag League is back on Saturday...with the IWGP Tag Champs now alone on top of the standings. Taichi & Zack Sabre Jr. beat Tetsuya Naito & SANADA on Thursday. The Dangerous Tekkers face EVIL & Yujiro Takahashi on Saturday.

Also on Saturday’s card, the Guerrillas of Destiny vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi & Toru Yano.

Staying in Japan…

In Dragon Gate...Dragon Dia (DY-ah) was forced to unmask after taking the pin in a tag team match on Wednesday. There’s a twist. Dragon Dia’s long-time rival Dia (DY-ah) Inferno, who was on the winning team, ALSO unmasked.

Honori Hana, who was wrestling in SEAdLINNNG, announced her retirement earlier this week citing ongoing health issues following her bout with COVID-19.

Major League Wrestling and The Crash are co-promoting a show Friday in Tijuana, Mexico...with NO matches announced as of Thursday night.
