(STINGER: AEW)
AEW Dynamite is back at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville tonight. It’s Homecoming!
And a new match was just added to the card during Tuesday night’s episode of Dark.
Matt Lee & Jeff Parker, the tag team known as Ever-Rise in WWE, will tag with Daniel Garcia...for a match against Jon Moxley, Eddie Kingston...and Darby Allin.
Already announced for tonight:
Malakai Black makes his AEW in-ring debut against Cody Rhodes.
Miro defends the TNT Championship against Lee Johnson.
Chris Jericho faces his third “Labour Of Jericho” in the form of Juventud Guerrera.
The Bunny goes one-on-one against LEGIT Leyla Hirsch in a match where the winner gets a shot at the NWA Women’s World Championship.
Plus, Christian Cage vs. The Blade.
Getting back to last night’s Dark…
Leyla Hirsch submitted Diamante with a cross armbreaker. Big Swole attacked Diamante after the match.
Pac submitted Jack Evans. After the match, Andrade El Idolo strolled out to tease a fight with Death Triangle. But Andrade thought better of it and walked away.
The Acclaimed, Matt Hardy & The Blade beat the Varsity Blondes & Matt & Mike Sydal. Hardy pinned Mike Sydal after Blade knocked him out with a pair of brass knuckles. After the match, Jurassic Express ran out to cut off a post-match beatdown on the Sydal brothers. That cleared the ring for the Blondes to beat up on The Acclaimed.
Eddie Kingston pinned Dante Martin in the main event...and Orange Cassidy, Chuck Taylor & Wheeler Yuta beat The Wingmen. Yuta pinned JD Drake.
(STINGER: WWE)
NEVER doubt the Power Of Love.
Dexter Lumis LOST the “Love Her Or Lose Her” main event on last night’s NXT. He was distracted after Gargano pushed him into Indi Hartwell, who was standing at ringside...and Gargano hit One Final Beat and got the pin.
BUT Hartwell would not accept the outcome. She ran back to the ring and shared a passionate moment with Lumis as the show ended. InDex lives!
Trey Baxter pinned Joe Gacy to advance in the NXT Breakout Tournament.
The tag match between Hit Row’s Top Dolla & Ashante Adonis and Legado Del Fantasam’s Joaquin Wilde & Raul Mendoza ended in an DQ win for Hit Row...some steel chair shots...and Santos Escobar STEALING THE GRILL of Isaiah SWERVE Scott.
Roderick Strong pinned Bobby Fish with a backbreaker. Later, Kushida said he’ll give Strong a shot at his Cruiserweight Title.
The Grizzled Young Veterans beat LA Knight & his butler Cameron Grimes. Knight refused to tag in, and that left Grimes to face the Vets alone. He was eventually pinned with the Ticket To Mayhem. After the match, Ted DiBiase came down to ringside to offer some encouragement to Grimes.
Ridge Holland returned to in-ring action for the first time since his knee injury. He pinned Ikeman Jiro with a powerslam.
(STINGER: New Japan)
Another big name from New Japan is coming to the U.S. for Resurgence...in Los Angeles on August 14th. Tomohiro Ishii is set for a one-on-one match against Impact Wrestling’s Moose!
Team Kamille and Team Pope advanced to the final round of the Champions Series on last night’s NWA Powerrr. The main event saw Team Pope’s Jax Dane pin Team Aldis’ Slice Boogie.
Finally...some said news.
Jody Hamilton - one half of the hall of fame tag team The Assassins - has passed away at the age of 82.
