This week’s episode brought to you by Indy Wrestling US, Slice on Broadway, Occupy Pro Wrestling, and IndyWrestling Network!
It's that time of year when we reminisce on what has happened throughout the course of wrestling. Mad Mike, Sorg, and Larry take a trip through old show notes to pull up last year's predictions, and we make some bold predictions heading into 2019:

It's the end of the year, which means we're running through last year's WWE predictions.

Mad Mike is rewriting Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer for the RAW women's match.

We're running through our 2018 predictions for our show!

This week's Big Question: What gift would you like Wrestling Santa to bring you?

Sorg checked out Rockstar Pro for their live stream with IMPACT at Ohio vs Everyone. He shares some thoughts about the show.

What did YOU learn in wrestling this year?

Speaking of predictions, here's what we expect for the big wrestling shows in 2019:

Mad Mike:

Brock Lesnar will be UFC and WWE champion.

Pentagon will be NXT Champion.

Sometime during 2019 we will see the match between David Arquette and Steven Amell.

Sorg:

WWE will not go back to the Middle East, but will do a supershow in another country.

The Elite (All In) promotion will not have television, but will still be an ROH competitor by the end of 2019.

The Elite (All In) promotion will be part of the WWE Network.

Larry:

Ronda Rousey will not be with WWE throughout 2019.

The Elite (All In) promotion is BS and they will be part of WWE.

Our Mayhem Show predictions for 2019:

Larry: Mad Mike will visit the studio in 2019.

Sorg:

There will be more IMPACT discussion in 2019.

Mad Mike will be unblocked by IMPACT’s main account.

Mad Mike will make one of Sorg’s business relationships awkward in 2019.

Mad Mike:

He will do something to get himself reblocked by IMPACT in 2019.

Sorg will have to ask a luchador a question in Spanish during 2019.

Tina: WMS will do a live show from the west coast.

Carlins: Larry will earn himself a lifetime ban from Mayhem Mania.

Ty Cross: He will visit the studio in 2019.

Bobby: A puppet will interview a wrestler for a WMS show.

Alex Miller: The Sorg will get hit in the nuts.

Matt and Steve are talking about this week in sports updates, including:
The Riverhounds have games at Indy Eleven and FC Cincy.
The PGA Tour stopped in Paramus NJ at Ridgewood Championship Course.
Bryson DeChambeau took the win in the first of 4 playoff tournaments in the FedEx Cup.
Bryson was leading after Day 2 and just kept it rolling throughout the whole weekend.
The PGA continues to TPC Boston for the second leg of the FedEx Cup Playoff.
DeChambeau is leading by 648 points over DJ, Thomas, Finau, and Koepka.
Ricky Fowler will be out due to an oblique injury.
Tony Romo will try to earn a web.com tour card.
Hawaii wins the Little League World Series over South Korea in a 3-0 shutout.
South Korea has played in 3 of the past 6 Little League World Series Championship Games, winning only one in 2014.
Justin Verlander had a hefty lunch bill at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Odell Beckham, Jr has a 5-year $95 million deal with $65 million guaranteed.
The AL West and the NL West are the most exciting divisions in MLB right now.
The A’s and the Astros are playing a series that could be a big swing in the division.
The NL West is all within a game in the top 3 and they all play each other in the next few weeks.
The Pirates are all out of any division and wild card options.
The moves made bringing in Chris Archer will be better for the next few seasons but are not going to help now.
Archer pitches well, but he hasn't received run support.
Again, the Pirates fail and Nutting wins by lining his wallet.
NCAA Football is back!
Albany comes to Pitt.
Appalachian State goes to PSU.
WVU goes to Tennessee.
Michigan goes to Notre Dame.
The Steelers had a bit of a scare in the 3rd pre-season game with the Titans in town.
Ramon Foster had a knee injury and the first thought was it was career-ending.
Thankfully Foster's knee injury looked worse than it is and he should be able to go week one.
The Steelers traded a 5th round 2019 pick to the Raiders for WR and KR Ryan Switzer and a 6th round pick in 2019.
The return game is in dire straits and needs help.
The QB position and WR position are the ones to watch in Steelers Camp.
The 53-man roster deadline is Sunday at midnight.
Our overall predictions and thoughts.

The snow may be accumulating here in Pittsburgh, that won't keep us from podcasting! We've got "The Bearcat" Keith Haught, Mad Mike, and Rizz on remote with Sorg in studio manning the switcher as we talk about this week in wrestling:
Mad Mike may have a shot at the WWE tagteam championship. He's telling us all about it.
WWE has some new talent coming to the performance center, including some Friend of the Show nods!
Mad Mike is calling for War Machine v. The Revival. We've got grins like it's Christmas morning over here.
Keith Haught is putting over Ray Rowe as we're talking some of his history in IWC Wrestling.
So, Stephanie McMahon tweeted about an RMU class here in Pittsburgh this week.
RAW 25 is next week - and we're SO EXCITED!
We're calling for Damien Sandow to come back as Damien Demento for RAW 25.
Our favorite moment of the Braun Strowman rampage on RAW? Cake guy.
With some of the recent news developments regarding WWE superstars, we're talking about how things have changed with how it's handled.
This week's Big Question: What is your LEAST favorite RAW moment?
We missed Mad Mike's 2018 predictions during our year-end show, but he DID e-mail us (we just missed it). He is sharing his predictions now.
Sorg has been looking at alternative options for watching wrestling. He's sharing his thoughts.
We're discovering that Impact Wrestling and Twitch mean different things for Mad Mike and Sorg.
Sorg is interested in watching Friend of the Show RJ City on Impact Wrestling.
What did YOU learn in wrestling this week?
Mad Mike learned that Braun Strowman beat Optimus Prime on RAW last night!
Sorg wants to thank Black Diamond Wrestling for making 305 Live a legit thing with their Hoss Tournament.
Fan of the show, Brandon Mynatt, will be a participant in the 2018 Special Olympics as part of the Team Missouri Bowling Team. (Donate at: http://give.somo.org/site/TR?px=1073149&fr_id=1190&pg=persona)

As we near the end of 2017 we take the opportunity to fill the couch – both IRL and online – with some familiar faces. It’s a full house indeed with Jim Lokay, Will Rutherford, Mike Pound, Cynthia Closkey, John Carman, Bobby Cherry, Brian Crawford, and Krause. But, we’ve still got our usual faces with Sorg and Chilla, and a very special visit from our Patreon supporter, Michael Fedor.
We’re starting the top of the show with everyone’s Awesome Thing of the Year items.
Chilla’s Awesome Thing of the Year is his Apple AirPods.
Brian’s Awesome Thing of the Year is NOT the tech items he recently purchased – but the sweet bag he got to carry it all!
Krause’s Awesome Thing of the Year is his Google Pixel 2XL.
Will’s Awesome Thing of the Year is a “really interesting idea.” He’s interested in TXT.FYI – a stripped down blog.
Lokay’s Awesome Thing of the Year is HQ – the quiz app.
Cynthia’s AirPods are her Awesome Thing for Life. As her Awesome Thing of the Year, she’s going with 17776.
Mike Pound’s Awesome Thing of the Year is Amazon Echo.
Patreoner Michael Fedor’s Awesome Thing of the Year is Patreon’s redo of their fee structure.
Bobby is sharing his Awesome Thing of the Year – his Google Home.
John Carman’s Awesome Thing of the Year is Google’s Pixel Buds.
Sorg’s Awesome Thing of the Year is the realization of handheld internet through his AT&T Wireless plan.
We’re running through our 2017 predictions from last year – and whether or not they actually came true.
And, then we turn to predictions for 2018!(With a shout out to Rob Johnston and the Vine 2 launch!)
Lokay: Vine2 is going to be a failure.
Will Rutherford: Net neutrality is going to get pushed through and it’s going to be a kerfluffle. ISPs are going to do what ISPs do, but customers are going to drop like flies. They’re going to lose so much business that they’re going to roll things back and it will all be for naught.
Mike Pound: Digital side of journalism is going to continue to build in 2018.
Cynthia Closkey: Continued escalation of Google/Apple/Amazon streaming war. Apple TV available for sale on Amazon again.
Michael Fedor: Disney will have one major purchase in the next year. (Jokingly introduced with: Living under the United States of Disney. Disney will pay down national debt and come in on some sort of crisis.)
John Carman: We’re going to see the first Amazon Key burglary.
Bobby Cherry: Elon Musk is going to have some breakthrough next year – through one of his companies.
Chilla: We’re going to see another huge dropoff on PC technology.
Brian Crawford: We’re going to start turning into cyborgs with our wearable tech and implant devices. We’re also going to see regulations regarding drones.
Krause: AR is going to be a much bigger deal than even VR is now.
Sorg: Podcasting is going to be de-emphasized in 2018.

This week we're not only recapping the week in wrestling - we're also recapping the year in wrestling.
We've been doing this for 600 Tuesdays?
Rizz is sharing some memories from his previous experiences for the STD Christmas episode.
Dj Lunchbox has not been involved with wrestling in some time. This is the episode where we're getting him caught up on what's happened since his hiatus.
What did YOU learn in wrestling this year?
We're running through our predictions from last year - to see who got it right for 2017 before we make our predictions for 2018:
2018 WWE Predictions:
Sorg: Enzo will be the UK Champion.
Billy Ruxpin: Daniel Bryan will wrestle at Wrestlemania. (Against Kurt Angle?)
LB: Something bad will happen with Kurt Angle and he'll have to go away.
Bobby: Nakamura's going to with the Royal Rumble and challenge AJ Styles at Wrestlemania.
Wheelz: Enzo and Cass reunite and become tag team champions.
Rizz: WWE will pick up Ethan Carter, III.
Larry: Next year we'll have a women's tagteam championship.
Bryan: Shane is going to take another stupid ass bump like Hell in a Cell.
2018 WMS Predictions:
Sorg: Bobby will start his own independent show outside of WMS.
Billy Ruxpin: Will be back on the show for 2018.
LB: Former WWE/F wrestler will be in-studio.
Bobby: We will overdub a movie, and Sorg will actually release it this time.
Wheelz: Wheelz will make his in-studio debut for AwesomeCast and WMS.
Rizz: We will have a live WMS show at either RWA or IWC.
Larry: Sorg will not remember STD Christmas special, and will not watch it afterwards.
Bryan: Bryan will be a semi-regular audience member/show member.
Fan of the show, Brandon Mynatt, will be a participant in the 2018 Special Olympics as part of the Team Missouri Bowling Team. (Donate at: http://give.somo.org/site/TR?px=1073149&fr_id=1190&pg=persona)

Steve and Matt are back for a second episode talking about two of the things Pittsburghers love - Pittsburgh and sports.
This week, Steve and Matt are talking the usual gamut of Pirates, Penguins, and Steelers. They do a recap of last week's predictions and how they each fared. Then it's on to some fantasy football recap. Apparently there is such a thing as poor coaching in fantasy football these days. From there it's on to some MLB news, including an early start to next year's season, and the Espy Awards and the All-Star Game. The guys may be blaming the Pirates' 6 losses since last week on Polanco's jenky leg. It's either that or traded Nicasio's "hold my beer" moment when he faced the Pirates as a St. Louis player. Speaking of trades, the guys wrap up their baseball segment with some McCutcheon trade options and expendable players. From there Matt and Steve talk some Pitt v Penn State game before heading into news about the Penguins. With training camp starting this week, Pittsburgh is favored to win the Stanley Cup again this year - which lands the guys into a fantasy discussion about what they would do if they had a day with the Stanley Cup. Oh, we haven't talked about football yet! The Steelers v Browns game was more worrisome than it should have been. Let's talk about Le'Veon Bell and stupid penalties. But, kudos to TJ Watt for making Defensive Rookie of the Week. Big Ben wins an interesting record this week too, as the winningest QB in Cleveland! But, we can't dismiss Tom Brady. No matter how much you may hate New England, Tom Brady is a damn good QB.
The guys take the show home this week with some BOLD predictions about NFL - Week 2.

It's our last episode of the year. We're getting geeky and nostalgic - checking our predictions from last year and talking tech and social media predictions for 2017, with the local nerds that use it on AwesomeCast 329!
We're LIVE with our year-end Christmas show with Doug Derda and Cynthia Closkey, talking about our awesome things of the year on this week's episode.
Sling and cordcutting were our awesome things of the year for 2015 as we reflected back last year.
Meerkat? Wow!
Cynthia is sharing her awesome thing of the year for 2016 - her smart watch (Apple Watch) and wearables in general.
Sorg is sharing his woes over the Pebble buyout in comparison to the Apple Watch.
Doug is pitching a Kickstarter campaign for a Kickstarter movie talking about Kickstarter campaigns.
Google Glass is still a discussion at the end of 2016.
Wheelz is sharing his awesome thing of the year - his Samsung phone.
Doug is sharing Facebook LIVE as his awesome thing of the year and how interesting instacontent is.
Speaking of bleeding edge tech - we can't help but talk about iJustine and how she was livestreaming a decade ago.
How do you stand out in a tidal wave of content now that instacontent is so available?
Are people looking at instacontent for content or for interaction with other people?
Doug is teaching us about the Musically app through his son's usage.
Sorg's awesome thing of the year is self-driving cars - especially since he's been in one!
Speaking of self-driving cars, studies show traffic would be better with less traffic lights.
It's 2016 prediction recap time!
-- Doug was WRONG with his prediction about online superstardom.
-- Cynthia is recapping her accurate mom factor prediction about streaming programming.
-- AI advancement prediction by Chilla is ACCURATE! (You can thank Alexa, Sir.)
-- DJ Lunchbox's iPhone7 prediction - ACCURATE! (WTH headphone jacks?)
-- Technology to communicate with pets. Sorry Katie, we're not sure whether Catterbox counts this year.
Apple's biggest innovation - a phone that doesn't explode!
Predictions for 2017!
-- Doug predicts Google+ will finally die.
-- Sorg thinks Twitter will not be an independent company by the end of 2017. Will it go to Verizon?
-- Cynthia thinks VR video will not be a thing next year, as in it's not going anywhere, and we won't know why. She doesn't believe it will get past Cardboard and it'll be at least another 3 years before we see any solid movement with VR.
-- Rizz predicts the Nintendo Switch will revolutionize gaming
Thanks for a great (at least by way of tech) 2016! Make sure to hit us up with what tech Santa brought you!
