Matt and Steve are talking about this week in sports updates, including:

The Riverhounds have games at Indy Eleven and FC Cincy.
The PGA Tour stopped in Paramus NJ at Ridgewood Championship Course.
Bryson DeChambeau took the win in the first of 4 playoff tournaments in the FedEx Cup.
Bryson was leading after Day 2 and just kept it rolling throughout the whole weekend.
The PGA continues to TPC Boston for the second leg of the FedEx Cup Playoff.
DeChambeau is leading by 648 points over DJ, Thomas, Finau, and Koepka.
Ricky Fowler will be out due to an oblique injury.
Tony Romo will try to earn a web.com tour card.
Hawaii wins the Little League World Series over South Korea in a 3-0 shutout.
South Korea has played in 3 of the past 6 Little League World Series Championship Games, winning only one in 2014.
Justin Verlander had a hefty lunch bill at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Odell Beckham, Jr has a 5-year $95 million deal with $65 million guaranteed.
The AL West and the NL West are the most exciting divisions in MLB right now.
The A’s and the Astros are playing a series that could be a big swing in the division.
The NL West is all within a game in the top 3 and they all play each other in the next few weeks.
The Pirates are all out of any division and wild card options.
The moves made bringing in Chris Archer will be better for the next few seasons but are not going to help now.
Archer pitches well, but he hasn't received run support.
Again, the Pirates fail and Nutting wins by lining his wallet.
NCAA Football is back!
Albany comes to Pitt.
Appalachian State goes to PSU.
WVU goes to Tennessee.
Michigan goes to Notre Dame.
The Steelers had a bit of a scare in the 3rd pre-season game with the Titans in town.
Ramon Foster had a knee injury and the first thought was it was career-ending.
Thankfully Foster's knee injury looked worse than it is and he should be able to go week one.
The Steelers traded a 5th round 2019 pick to the Raiders for WR and KR Ryan Switzer and a 6th round pick in 2019.
The return game is in dire straits and needs help.
The QB position and WR position are the ones to watch in Steelers Camp.
The 53-man roster deadline is Sunday at midnight.

As far as Pirates news is concerned, we don't want to jinx it, but we have a 4-0 start to this season? NFL free agency keeps rolling. Matt and Steve bring you up to speed on the recent news there - including some thoughts that Gronk may be wearing out his welcome in New England? With NBA playoffs in the near future, the boys take a look at how the playoff picture is shaping up. Then it's on to NHL updates to wrap up this week's podcast. With their final season game, Penguins fans can rejoice that we are in the playoffs.

Matt opens this week's show with some River Hounds updates - including his excitement about their home opener against the Harrisburg City Islanders. Speaking of openers, the MLB season is officially open as of Thursday. We've got Pirates updates, as well as some notable news on the Sox, Giants, Dodgers, Blue Jays, Yankees, Rangers, Astros, and more. Of course, we can't forget about NCAA hoops action. As far as Pitt is concerned, we have a new coach! Matt and Steve share some thoughts. As far as NCAA brackets are concerned, we're down to the finals - which includes a bracket check. In this week's NFL news, the guys take a rundown on draft picks and negotiation updates, as well as some rule changes heading into the 2018-19 season. We're just going to gloss over the Penguins' recent outing. They looked like poo against the Red Wings.

Steve has pulled ahead of Matt in this week's fantasy round-up with a 9-5 (versus Matt's 5-9) and it pulls him ahead in the season standings (by one). Now that we're out of the fantasy realm, the guys touch upon Aaron Rodgers news, and the potential that he may be out for the season. From there, it's a WPIAL catch-up! (p.s. Pine Richland is currently standing at number 16 in the nation. Not bad, boys. Not bad.) As for the college football picture, Pitt takes another loss as North Carolina State exploded in the second. PSU moves up to #2. With a buy week, they're hosting Michigan.

In case you missed it, the Penguins beat the Caps! Matt and Steve have some thoughts on that. They've also got some things to say about Ian Cole losing three teeth and undergoing surgery, before turning things over to some NFL recaps. Steelers v Kansas City may have been a tough game, but the guys round out this week's episode with some Cincinnati chat and accusations about some dirty D.

As they do, Matt and Steve recap their current standings in fantasy football. Though they're still running neck-and-neck, Matt took a lead in this week's results. With the recap under our belts, it's time to move to some MLB updates - with a recap of the current standings. As for NHL news, the Penguins are 1-1-1 for the season. Matt and Steve take a look at the prospects for the Pens' upcoming games. What sort of week in hockey would it be though if the guys didn't touch upon the Penguins' visit to the White House? But, before the conversation goes political, the guys shift gears to head into football updates. Pitt has a bad loss in Syracuse. PSU is still doing well - with Sequan Barkley still in the Heisman hunt. The guys otherwise look at the college game prospects for the next few weeks. Which brings us to this week's Steelers' recap. When the show notes legit have "WTF???" you know it's going to be a great conversation!
