Matt and Steve have their Week 8 fantasy results for us before heading into this week's sports talk.

The Penguins had a hot week with Phil Kessel's two overtime winning goals coming in at 299 and 300 respectively for his record. It was otherwise Murray's first bad showing.

The MLB World Series game was a wild one. It's the homeruns ever in the playoffs! But, it's all about the pitching and the long ball for Matt and Steve.

College football is going strong. Pitt has an ACC win over Virginia, but was their defense on point for the game? The guys otherwise pay homage to Henderson's punt return touchdown and the passing touchdown by DiNucci. Penn State started off great with Barkley taking the opening kickoff 97 yeards, but then squanders a 15-point lead in the 4th. They drop to #7. Notre Dame was otherwise a total ground game with lots of penalties. They've moved up to the #5 spot, though.

The Steelers are at a 20-15 win-loss record. Juju had 195 yards and one touchdown, but Brown was held in check for the game. Matt and Steve share some additional thoughts as the Steelers head into their buy week.

Steve is crushing it in this week's fantasy football stats with a stellar 14-1 for the week. Matt? Not so much. But, it's fantasy, right?

So, how about that Penguins win in OT with Kessel career goal #299 in OT? The Penguins are making some moves with Casey DeSmith coming up as Murray's backup. In other news, Neimi gets picked up by Florida and the Pens get Sheahan for Wilson in a 5th round.

We can still talk some baseball this week, too with the World Series. Verlander was stud in the ALCS, and the Dodgers get over the hump.

This week's college football round-up has Pitt winning at Duke. DiNucci is 8/18 with 154 yards in the air. Overall, they're looking good. The Virginia Cavaliers come to Heinz Field this week. Turning gears to Penn State, they crushed Michigan this week. Sequan Barkley is still a Heisman hopeful with 108 yards, 2TDs, and 53 yards in the air. McSorley has 282 passing and a TD in the air with 76 on the gournd and 3TDs. They're at OSU this week. Notre Dame lights up USC, and North Carolina State is in South Bend.

Which brings us to Steelers news! Ben is 14/24 with 224 yards and 2TDs. Bell has 35 carries for 134 yards, and Brown and Smith-Schuster with the TD and the Wizard of Boz with 5 field goals. Overall, defense looked good with 2 picks - by Haden and Gay. And, what's up with Bryant's BS? Matt and Steve also take a look at the upcoming game this weekend with the Lions.

Steve has pulled ahead of Matt in this week's fantasy round-up with a 9-5 (versus Matt's 5-9) and it pulls him ahead in the season standings (by one). Now that we're out of the fantasy realm, the guys touch upon Aaron Rodgers news, and the potential that he may be out for the season. From there, it's a WPIAL catch-up! (p.s. Pine Richland is currently standing at number 16 in the nation. Not bad, boys. Not bad.) As for the college football picture, Pitt takes another loss as North Carolina State exploded in the second. PSU moves up to #2. With a buy week, they're hosting Michigan.

In case you missed it, the Penguins beat the Caps! Matt and Steve have some thoughts on that. They've also got some things to say about Ian Cole losing three teeth and undergoing surgery, before turning things over to some NFL recaps. Steelers v Kansas City may have been a tough game, but the guys round out this week's episode with some Cincinnati chat and accusations about some dirty D.

As they do, Matt and Steve recap their current standings in fantasy football. Though they're still running neck-and-neck, Matt took a lead in this week's results. With the recap under our belts, it's time to move to some MLB updates - with a recap of the current standings. As for NHL news, the Penguins are 1-1-1 for the season. Matt and Steve take a look at the prospects for the Pens' upcoming games. What sort of week in hockey would it be though if the guys didn't touch upon the Penguins' visit to the White House? But, before the conversation goes political, the guys shift gears to head into football updates. Pitt has a bad loss in Syracuse. PSU is still doing well - with Sequan Barkley still in the Heisman hunt. The guys otherwise look at the college game prospects for the next few weeks. Which brings us to this week's Steelers' recap. When the show notes legit have "WTF???" you know it's going to be a great conversation!

Steve and Matt are keeping the dream alive as they bring us this week's updates in Pittsburgh sports talk.

Steve and Matt are talking about their 8-8 fantasy tie for the week, but Matt's holding a slight lead at 30-17 over Steve's 29-18 record so far. At the top of the show we've got some Pirates highlights, especially Cutch. With the MLB regular season wrapping up, we're also talking current standings and wild card options. From baseball, we move on to some Pitt Football news and Heisman Watch players before talking some hockey! With two pre-season games left, the Penguins are looking to their home-opener next Wednesday. The young guys are looking good, but since it's still pre-season, we haven't seen much of the main roster yet. As for this week's NFL talk Matt and Steve talk about this week's issue - a muffed punt and a blocked kick. Overall, we learned not to showboat, and that the Red Zone offense needs to improve third down conversions, espeically with the Ravens this week - in Baltimore.

This week, the guys are talking about the status of their fantasy line-ups before heading into the nitty gritty sports talk. At the top of the show they're covering the Pirates - while they still can. With nine games left and declining attendance, the Pirates organization is turning to promotions for a final push to get fans out. Between seven straight losses and Cerveli out for the season due to injury, it's going to be hard.
