<description>Matt and Steve are talking about this week in sports updates, including:
Riverhounds had a Nil-Nil tie with the Charleston Battery, but it looks like it wasn't that exciting of a match.
The Hounds are on the road to Louisville City.
They are currently tied for second in the group with Louisville with 25 points each.
Matt gives us some World Cup updates.
In PGA news from Connecticut at TPC River Highlands Bubba Watson had a hell of a third and fourth round to come out with the win.
Watson had -17 total shooting -7 on the final round.
The tour goes to TPC Potomac at Avenel in Potomac MD northwest of DC for the Quicken Loans National.
Tiger is on the green, but a lot of other big names are not. There's no DJ, Spieth, Kepca, Mickelson.
We're counting down to the Open.
Penguins sign Bryan Rust to a four-year deal, leaving them with $4.2 mill to spend in cap space.
It's likely that Oleksiak and Sheahan will get those nods.
The Pens also signed Sprong and Simone.
Crosby has reached out to Kunitz, and it looks like Kunitz and the Pens have shown mutual interest in another stint.
The Pens are looking to get him for less than $2 mill.
Kunitz will be 39 at the start of the season.
Le'veon Bell and the Steelers report that they are a lot closer than they were last season on making a deal.
Both side hope to come to an agreement before the July 16th deadline.
Every year the NFL posts a Top 100 list for the upcoming season. The top ten this year are: Brady, Brown, Went, Jones, Bell, Gurley, Donald, Brees, V.Miller, and Rodgers.
The Pirates are supposedly shopping Cervelli, Dickerson, Harrison, Mercer, and Freese.
Shopping around is an effort to cut payroll because of the drastic drop in attendance this season.
Neil Huntington has said that if the fans don't come out, that they can't afford to put a team on the field and the roster will be weakened because of the fans.
Huntington said that the team will add pieces at the deadline if the attendance picks up.
The team is worth $1.2 bill, and profited $86 mill between 2016 and 2017.
Nutting has petitioned the PA State Gaming Board for tax revenue stemming from the new sports booking that is expectied to open before the start of Football season.
The Bucs are 2-7 with another 4 straight losses to the Diamondbacks (who lead the NL West). that
They did win over the Mets in NYC, and went to extra innings at home in the series to take a loss in the 10th.

<description>Matt and Steve are talking about this week in sports updates, including:
The Riverhounds took its first USL loss of the season 1-0 to Nashville, but had a 0-0 tie with Penn FC after.
The Riverhounds returned home for the weekend with the Richmond Kickers.
Pitt Baseball made it to the Final 4 of the ACC tournament, but lost to Louisville.
It seems that the ACC has elevated PITT in smaller non-mainstream collegiate athletics.
Mark Madden wrote an article on Sullivan and Kessel.
In PGA news, it's the last week in the Forth Worth Invitational.
Justin Rose won with a -20.
Steve got to check out some of the Memorial at Muirfield Village “Jack's Place”
It's fun to see the pros do some of the same things Steve does.
The NHL Stanley Cup Finals!
Game one went to the Knights with a back-and-forth game with a 6-4 final, and game two went to the Caps 3-2.
Tom Wilson of the Caps had a few questionable hits in game one - especially the one on Jonathan Marchessault.
Ryan Reaves' punch to the nose in front of the Caps net in game two sent a message to the not-so-nice Wilson.
The NBA Finals started. It's the 4th straight year of the Warriors and Cavs in the final.
The first game went to overtime, and Lebron had some issues with it.
Hill made the tying free throw and missed the second with 5 seconds left on the clock.
Cleveland passed the ball around and looked like they were playing keep-away to protect a win they didn't have.
On the replay, JR Smith said he thought they were ahead.
In OT the Warriors go on a 7-0 run, and end up with Klay Thomson ejected and the Cavs losing.
Steelers' OTAs continue and the rookies are getting to learn the play book and figure out their exact positions.
Jerald Hawkins, the back-up OT, was carried off the field with a ruptured quad. Third pick, Oakafore, is now up for the position.
Jake McGee also limped off the field with injury.
Most of the stars of the team (the “Skilled Position Players”) were absent for the second week of OTA’s, but that was no shocker.
1978 throwbacks.
The Pirates lost 2 of 3 to the Reds, 2 of 3 to the Cards, and 2 of 3 to the Cubs with some
drama on the base pads in the Cubs series.
The Buccos are still above 500 by 2 games and 6.5 back in the division.
The offense was solid, Polanco had a 3-hit night.
Cervele and Bell went yard, but Vasquez gave up the winning HR in the 9th.
The Pirates sitting Austin Medows when Marte came back over Polanco might be a mistake.
The bullpen is suspect, and the offense has cooled a bit with some brained moves on the base pads.

<description>Matt and Steve are talking about this week in sports updates, including:
The Riverhounds tied 2-2 with the Tampa Bay Rowdies.
They took on FC Cincinnati in The US Open Cup and ended in a 3-1 loss.
The Riverhounds are on the road to face Penn FC.
Pittsburgh is currently in 4th place with a 9, 12, 5, 17 record.
F Romeo Parkes was named to USL Team of the Week after his first goal of the season.
The PGA played at Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas for the Bryon Nelson Classic.
21-year-old Aaron Wise (South African) took home 1.39 Million and his first win on the PGA Tour.
Wise's mom travels with him and when he was in the lead after day 3 he had to make her leave the room during the 4-hr rain delay prior to his Tee Time.
His final score was -23 for the tournament.
It's time for the Fort Worth Inv. at the Colonial Course in Texas as we're gearing up for the Memorial at Muirfield Village in Columbus.
The Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore was a rainy, foggy, muddy mess with Justify by a 1/2 length to win.
Bob Baffert (Trainer) is on his bid for his second Triple Crown at the Belmont Stakes in Belmont Park.
American Pharoah ended the 37-year drought three years ago.
Baffert is now tied with 14 triple crown wins as a trainer and could only be the second trainer to have 2 Triple Crown winners.
Belmont is the longest of the 3 races and is the hardest to win.
The Vegas Golden Knights move on to the Stanley Cup Final over the Winnipeg Jets.
The Caps/Lightning had a very exciting game 7 with the Caps moving on to the final.
Of course Pittsburgh is with the Knights mainly because of Fleury, but some other former Pens are on the team as well.
Football OTAs have begun and the vets are meeting the rookies and invited free agents for the first time.
There is no sign of Lev Bell, and we don't expect him 'til after camp.
They have until July 15th to reach a long-term deal.
These are voluntary to attend.
Nashville is selected to host the 2019 NFL Draft, and Arizona is selected to hold Super Bowl LVII and New Orleans to host Super Bowl LVIII.
Rodger Goodell and the NFL have implemented the new standard and rule regarding the national anthem.
All personnel on the field during ceremonies must stand and show respect for the anthem, and if they choose not to stand they are able to stay in the locker room or like area off the field for the opening ceremonies.
If anyone doesn't stand and show respect for the anthem, the organization will be fined.
Each organization can make its own work rule regarding the situation.
The commissioner will impose appropriate discipline on league personnel who do not stand and show respect.
Does this still leave open what is considered respect or disrespect?
The Buccos have dropped 3 in a row to the Padres, and 1 to the Reds and pulled out an extra inning win.
The Bucs have been beating the teams that they should, until now.
The
bullpen is still suspect, but the offense has cooled off.
The Bucs were in first place for a day or so, but are now 3 games back in the division.
The NL Central is one of the weakest divisions in the MLB.
The much awaited call-up of Austin Meadows has been worth the wait. he is 5-11 with 2 homers.
Manager, Clint Hurdle, says he is being aggressive, seeing pitches. Clint summed it up in two words: Visualization and Confidence.

<li>Wise&#39;s mom travels with him and when he was in the lead after day 3 he had to make her leave the room during the 4-hr rain delay prior to his Tee Time. </li>
<li>His final score was -23 for the tournament. </li>
<li>It&#39;s time for the Fort Worth Inv. at the Colonial Course in Texas as we&#39;re gearing up for the Memorial at Muirfield Village in Columbus.</li>
<li>The Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore was a rainy, foggy, muddy mess with Justify by a 1/2 length to win. </li>
<li>Bob Baffert (Trainer) is on his bid for his second Triple Crown at the Belmont Stakes in Belmont Park. </li>
<li>American Pharoah ended the 37-year drought three years ago. </li>
<li>Baffert is now tied with 14 triple crown wins as a trainer and could only be the second trainer to have 2 Triple Crown winners. </li>
<li>Belmont is the longest of the 3 races and is the hardest to win.</li>
<li>The Vegas Golden Knights move on to the Stanley Cup Final over the Winnipeg Jets.</li>
<li>The Caps/Lightning had a very exciting game 7 with the Caps moving on to the final.</li>
<li>Of course Pittsburgh is with the Knights mainly because of Fleury, but some other former Pens are on the team as well.</li>
<li>Football OTAs have begun and the vets are meeting the rookies and invited free agents for the first time. </li>
<li>There is no sign of Lev Bell, and we don&#39;t expect him &#39;til after camp. </li>
<li>They have until July 15th to reach a long-term deal. </li>
<li>These are voluntary to attend.</li>
<li>Nashville is selected to host the 2019 NFL Draft, and Arizona is selected to hold Super Bowl LVII and New Orleans to host Super Bowl LVIII.</li>
<li>Rodger Goodell and the NFL have implemented the new standard and rule regarding the national anthem. </li>
<li>All personnel on the field during ceremonies must stand and show respect for the anthem, and if they choose not to stand they are able to stay in the locker room or like area off the field for the opening ceremonies. </li>
<li>If anyone doesn&#39;t stand and show respect for the anthem, the organization will be fined. </li>
<li>Each organization can make its own work rule regarding the situation. </li>
<li>The commissioner will impose appropriate discipline on league personnel who do not stand and show respect. </li>
<li>Does this still leave open what is considered respect or disrespect?</li>
<li>The Buccos have dropped 3 in a row to the Padres, and 1 to the Reds and pulled out an extra inning win. </li>
<li>The Bucs have been beating the teams that they should, until now. </li>
<li>The
bullpen is still suspect, but the offense has cooled off. </li>
<li>The Bucs were in first place for a day or so, but are now 3 games back in the division. </li>
<li>The NL Central is one of the weakest divisions in the MLB.</li>
<li>The much awaited call-up of Austin Meadows has been worth the wait. he is 5-11 with 2 homers.</li>
<li>Manager, Clint Hurdle, says he is being aggressive, seeing pitches. Clint summed it up in two words: Visualization and Confidence. </li>

<description>Matt opens this week's show with some River Hounds updates - including his excitement about their home opener against the Harrisburg City Islanders. Speaking of openers, the MLB season is officially open as of Thursday. We've got Pirates updates, as well as some notable news on the Sox, Giants, Dodgers, Blue Jays, Yankees, Rangers, Astros, and more. Of course, we can't forget about NCAA hoops action. As far as Pitt is concerned, we have a new coach! Matt and Steve share some thoughts. As far as NCAA brackets are concerned, we're down to the finals - which includes a bracket check. In this week's NFL news, the guys take a rundown on draft picks and negotiation updates, as well as some rule changes heading into the 2018-19 season. We're just going to gloss over the Penguins' recent outing. They looked like poo against the Red Wings.

As a PSA to everyone listening, remember to get your brackets together! After the NCAA updates, Matt takes us through the week in soccer news before we get into American football with some news on the Steelers Franchise Tags updates. Because it's early March, the boys are looking at news out of the MLB - including the fact that Jake Arrieta is still unsigned, and Neil Walker is still out there. They move from baseball to hockey to wrap up the show with Penguins updates and standings.

<description>This week's episode kicks off with some Olympics talk. Between a medal breakdown for Team USA, and some general recap, Matt and Steve touch on some of the Winter Olympics highlights. Matt gives a rundown of the Pittsburgh River Hounds, including a special thank you to Christina Dikerson of Dickerson Creative for the event with the River Hounds at Highmark Stadium. After the break it's back to our regularly scheduled sports talk with some MLB updates as workouts are underway. Although the NFL season is over, there's still some things worth talking about - especially franchise tags. On to hoops action, Matt and Steve have a rundown of NCAA updates. If you haven't heard the news about a certain team vacating wins between 2012-2015 (including a National Championship during that time), you may want to tune in to get up to speed. Then, it's on to NHL news to take the show home. Matt and Steve are talking about some Penguins updates - on and off the ice.

<description>Matt and Steve start this week's episode as they do - with their fantasy football standings. They've been running neck-and-neck all season. This week they're tied up on their weekly picks with a 1-point difference on their season standings as they're headed into the fantasy championships! In other news, it's Christmastime! But, apparently not for the Penguins. The boys bring us up to speed on their recent losing streak. Thankfully it's a long season and we have some time to correct the early follies. As for NCAA news, we're into the basketball conference season! Matt and Steve share some thoughts on that - as well as the start of NCAA hockey season. We saved the best conversation for last as the boys dive into NFL news. At the top of the segment? James ****ing Harrison. There are certainly thoughts on his move to New England. As far as actual Steelers gameplay, the team showed a lot of promise on their Christmas Day outing with plays by Bryant, Bell and JuJu. Matt and Steve head out of their Steelers wrap up with an overview of their thoughts for the playoff picture.
As they do, the guys wrap up this week's show with some BOLD predictions about NFL - Week 17.

<description>Matt and Steve are feeling pretty jolly this week as we head into Christmas. They've got an even playing field on this week's fantasy scores with 10-6 for both of them. And, they're neck-and-neck as far as their fantasy seasons go, too. But, it looks like Matt and Steve are both out of their respective leagues. As they recap some NCAA hoops action, Pitt, PSU, and WVU are all looking at some conference games after Christmas. In MLB news, there's some updates on what the Dodgers and the Yankees are up to. Apparently the Pirates are trying to work out a trade for Cole. Matt and Steve definitely have some thoughts on how that looks - as well as the status of talks with Cutch. Even though he's no longer a Penguin, the guys are keeping up with Fleury as he stood tall in their series with the Avalanche. They also touch base on recent Penguins moves, including the acquisition of Jamie Olesiak and some trade updates. We're headed into the home stretch of the football season! Pro Bowl selections are looking good as far as Steelers are concerned. But, it looks like we're going to be a couple guys short until further notice. And, don't get us started on the Patriots game. But, at least the boys have some great content for this week's podcast - including some thoughts on the reason for the game-ending call.
As they do, the guys wrap up this week's show with some BOLD predictions about NFL - Week 16.

<description>Matt and Steve have their Week 8 fantasy results for us before heading into this week's sports talk.
The Penguins had a hot week with Phil Kessel's two overtime winning goals coming in at 299 and 300 respectively for his record. It was otherwise Murray's first bad showing.
The MLB World Series game was a wild one. It's the homeruns ever in the playoffs! But, it's all about the pitching and the long ball for Matt and Steve.
College football is going strong. Pitt has an ACC win over Virginia, but was their defense on point for the game? The guys otherwise pay homage to Henderson's punt return touchdown and the passing touchdown by DiNucci. Penn State started off great with Barkley taking the opening kickoff 97 yeards, but then squanders a 15-point lead in the 4th. They drop to #7. Notre Dame was otherwise a total ground game with lots of penalties. They've moved up to the #5 spot, though.
The Steelers are at a 20-15 win-loss record. Juju had 195 yards and one touchdown, but Brown was held in check for the game. Matt and Steve share some additional thoughts as the Steelers head into their buy week.
As they do, the guys wrap up this week's show with some BOLD predictions about NFL - Week 10.

<description>Steve has pulled ahead of Matt in this week's fantasy round-up with a 9-5 (versus Matt's 5-9) and it pulls him ahead in the season standings (by one). Now that we're out of the fantasy realm, the guys touch upon Aaron Rodgers news, and the potential that he may be out for the season. From there, it's a WPIAL catch-up! (p.s. Pine Richland is currently standing at number 16 in the nation. Not bad, boys. Not bad.) As for the college football picture, Pitt takes another loss as North Carolina State exploded in the second. PSU moves up to #2. With a buy week, they're hosting Michigan.
In case you missed it, the Penguins beat the Caps! Matt and Steve have some thoughts on that. They've also got some things to say about Ian Cole losing three teeth and undergoing surgery, before turning things over to some NFL recaps. Steelers v Kansas City may have been a tough game, but the guys round out this week's episode with some Cincinnati chat and accusations about some dirty D.
As they do, the guys wrap up this week's show with some BOLD predictions about NFL - Week 8.

As for Penguins news, it's a memorable hockey night in Pittsburgh as Steve and Matt recap the banner ceremony before heading into some great talk about the home opener. <description>Steve and Matt are keeping the dream alive as they bring us this week's updates in Pittsburgh sports talk.
Steve and Matt are talking about their 8-8 fantasy tie for the week, but Matt's holding a slight lead at 30-17 over Steve's 29-18 record so far. At the top of the show we've got some Pirates highlights, especially Cutch. With the MLB regular season wrapping up, we're also talking current standings and wild card options. From baseball, we move on to some Pitt Football news and Heisman Watch players before talking some hockey! With two pre-season games left, the Penguins are looking to their home-opener next Wednesday. The young guys are looking good, but since it's still pre-season, we haven't seen much of the main roster yet. As for this week's NFL talk Matt and Steve talk about this week's issue - a muffed punt and a blocked kick. Overall, we learned not to showboat, and that the Red Zone offense needs to improve third down conversions, espeically with the Ravens this week - in Baltimore.
The guys wrap up this week's show with some BOLD predictions about NFL - Week 4.

<description>This week, the guys are talking about the status of their fantasy line-ups before heading into the nitty gritty sports talk. At the top of the show they're covering the Pirates - while they still can. With nine games left and declining attendance, the Pirates organization is turning to promotions for a final push to get fans out. Between seven straight losses and Cerveli out for the season due to injury, it's going to be hard. Add to that the Penguins' first pre-season game and fast-approaching home opener on October 4th, Pittsburgh sports fans are already prepping for winter sports action. We can't forget about football either. For the college football fans, Steve and Matt take a look at Pitt, PSU, WVU, and Notre Dame before heading into this week's Steelers talk.
The guys take the show home this week with some BOLD predictions about NFL - Week 3.

<description>This week, Steve and Matt are talking the usual gamut of Pirates, Penguins, and Steelers. But, they're also talking some Pitt, high school sports, and everyone's seasonal favorite - fantasy football. They also touch upon Nutting, Cutch, and Cole, and young guys that want to play - and need to play! Looking for Pirates contract news? Steve and Matt talk about a contract for Hurdle. Did we mention Huntington? They definitely share some news about Huntington, too. Of course, if you're looking for Steelers news, there are some roster moves, Bell's hold-out, and expectations.
The guys take the show home this week with some BOLD predictions about NFL - Week 1.
