Matt and Steve are talking about this week in sports updates, including:

Riverhounds have their first home playoff game at Highmark Stadium with the Bethlehem Steel.
The Riverhounds finished the season in third in Group A.
The PGA Tour is on their Asian swing, so the matches are live over night and replay during the day.
There are still some big names on the PGA Tour, but not many.
Penguins mark a win in Toronto with Murray in net.

71 had two goals, and Letang also came up with one.

Letang's goal marked the 100th of his career.
It's early, but the Penguins are 3-1-2 with 8 points - placing them a solid 4th in the division.
Boston/Astros was a great series, and the Sox head to the World Series.
David Price had his first career playoff win in 12 tries.
Alex Cora is the first Latino and first first-year manager to go to the World Series.
The Dodgers are up 3-2 as they head back to Miller Park.
In NCAA news, Pitt had a hell of a game with Notre Dame.
Pitt has a buy week and will host Duke when they return.
Notre Dame had a tough game with Pitt and is also in a buy week.
Notre Dame will play the Navy in San Diego.
PSU had a helluva loss to State as Indiana comes to Happy Valley.
WVU saw a bad loss Saturday and plays Baylor.
The NBA season started.
Steelers and Bengals was a back-and-forth game.
The TE got in the game Steelers/Bengals game.
Ben hit 10 different receivers.
The defense didn't look as good as they did over the Falcons but they weren't horrible.
Bell should be back Monday/Tuesday.
Burfict is who he is.

Matt and Steve are talking about this week in sports updates, including:

Riverhounds got a win 2-1 over Richmond Kickers.
Goals from Neco Brett and Romeo Parkes.
The Riverhounds were down 1-0 after the first half and came back with the 2 goals after 20 shots in the second half.
Richmond only had 3 shots and all were in the first half.
The Riverhounds have a bit of a break until June 16th at the NY Red Bulls.
R.I.P. Dwight Clark - known for the catch in NFC title game over the Cowboys in 1981 that was the start of 4 championships in the 80’s.
He passed from ALS.
Clark had 2 Pro Bowl appearances, 2 Super Bowl rings as a player, and is still 3rd on the list of Niners receiving yards of 6,750 4th in receptions with 506 and 7th in TD’s with 48.
In 87, Clark moved to the front office where he earned 3 more rings as an executive with the Niners.
In 1999 he joined the Browns in an executive role.
In PGA Tour news, Bryson DeChambeau wins the Memorial at Murifield Village “Jacks Place” in Columbus in a 2-hole playoff.
Tiger made a charge, but came up short, as well as Rory McLlory, Justin Rose, Dustin Johnson, and Lefty.
This week is the St Jude Classic at TPC Southward in Memphis TN, then the next tournament is the second Major of the year, the US Open at Shinnecock Hills in South Hampton NY.
The Knights are down 3-1 to the Caps and are headed back to Vegas for game 5.
Good news, the Knights haven't lost 4 games in a row all year. Bad news, only 1 team has come back from 3-1 to win the cup (Leafs in 1939).
The Caps have been clicking on all cylinders.
The Great 8 has been getting his shots and a few goals.
Hate to say that it looks like the Caps' year.
The whole Caps high-power offense is on fire.
The Cavs and Warriors head to Cleveland for games 3 and 4.
The Cavs are down 2-0 to Golden State.
We talked game one last week on how it had a wild ending. Game 2 was all Warriors and the Cavs really didn't have a chance.
Steve gives his theory on this series.
Steeler OTA’s are just about over.
The players and coaches know what needs to be worked on.
Paul Zise Article.
Pirates have lost 17 of 24 and almost had a NONO tossed on them from Waka in St Louis.
Meadows got to start in Center, but Polanco was still in the lineup.
The Bucs are now .500 at 30-30 but found their way there the wrong way.
Jung Ho Kang is doing well in Florida and looking to make a return this season. There is still no timetable for his return.
Bruce Keson R.I.P
Florida St wins Womens' Softball Championship.
Max Scherzer is the first to 10 wins this season. 13 Ks in 8 innings and had a perfect inning.
Nothing has happened with the Penguins.
Kessel trade rumors are flying.

Matt and Steve are talking about this week in sports updates, including:

The Riverhounds took its first USL loss of the season 1-0 to Nashville, but had a 0-0 tie with Penn FC after.
The Riverhounds returned home for the weekend with the Richmond Kickers.
Pitt Baseball made it to the Final 4 of the ACC tournament, but lost to Louisville.
It seems that the ACC has elevated PITT in smaller non-mainstream collegiate athletics.
Mark Madden wrote an article on Sullivan and Kessel.
In PGA news, it's the last week in the Forth Worth Invitational.
Justin Rose won with a -20.
Steve got to check out some of the Memorial at Muirfield Village “Jack's Place”
It's fun to see the pros do some of the same things Steve does.
The NHL Stanley Cup Finals!
Game one went to the Knights with a back-and-forth game with a 6-4 final, and game two went to the Caps 3-2.
Tom Wilson of the Caps had a few questionable hits in game one - especially the one on Jonathan Marchessault.
Ryan Reaves' punch to the nose in front of the Caps net in game two sent a message to the not-so-nice Wilson.
The NBA Finals started. It's the 4th straight year of the Warriors and Cavs in the final.
The first game went to overtime, and Lebron had some issues with it.
Hill made the tying free throw and missed the second with 5 seconds left on the clock.
Cleveland passed the ball around and looked like they were playing keep-away to protect a win they didn't have.
On the replay, JR Smith said he thought they were ahead.
In OT the Warriors go on a 7-0 run, and end up with Klay Thomson ejected and the Cavs losing.
Steelers' OTAs continue and the rookies are getting to learn the play book and figure out their exact positions.
Jerald Hawkins, the back-up OT, was carried off the field with a ruptured quad. Third pick, Oakafore, is now up for the position.
Jake McGee also limped off the field with injury.
Most of the stars of the team (the “Skilled Position Players”) were absent for the second week of OTA’s, but that was no shocker.
1978 throwbacks.
The Pirates lost 2 of 3 to the Reds, 2 of 3 to the Cards, and 2 of 3 to the Cubs with some drama on the base pads in the Cubs series.
The Buccos are still above 500 by 2 games and 6.5 back in the division.
The offense was solid, Polanco had a 3-hit night.
Cervele and Bell went yard, but Vasquez gave up the winning HR in the 9th.
The Pirates sitting Austin Medows when Marte came back over Polanco might be a mistake.
The bullpen is suspect, and the offense has cooled a bit with some brained moves on the base pads.

Matt and Steve are talking about this week in sports updates, including:

The Riverhounds tied Indy Eleven nil-nil and won 2-1 over Eire Commodores.
The Tampa Bay Rowdies come to Highmark Stadium.
With the win in the US Open Cup the Hounds get a home Cup game facing the winner of Cincy FC of the (USL) or Detroit City FC of the (NPSL).
In PGA Tour news, Web Simpson hits a -18 total and wins the 5th Major of The Players even shooting 1 over in the final round.
Tiger made a hell of a run in Day 3 and again in Day 4, but had early tee times both days.
Tiger Woods finished T11 but was as high as second.
We saw some super groups the first two-day pairings of Mickelson, Tiger, and Fowler, and the other of Spieth, Rory, and Justin Thomas.
It's the Bryon Nelson Classic at Trinity Forest in Dallas.
The next Big Tournament that's not a major is at Jack's Place in Muirfield Village Golf Club in Columbus.
PITT softball lost the ACC Championship Game against FSU in dramatic fashion.
The NHL Playoffs continue with the Caps up 2-1 over Tampa Bay in the series.
The Vegas And Winnipeg series is 2-1 Vegas.
Both have been very entertaining to watch.
On an intersting side note, Chris Kunitz could win his 5th cup and be the 50th Person with 5 Cups.
Mark Scheifele leads the playoffs with 14 goals (11 of them on the road).
As for NBA updates, Golden State is up 1-0 over the Rockets, and Boston is up 2-0 over the Cavs.
The Cavs got manhandled and headed back to Cleveland.
The Pitt/PSU game is scheduled for September 8th at 8PM.
It will be the last time the two will play in Hienz Field for the foreseeable future.
There is still one game at Happy Valley.
The Pirates took 2 of 3 from the Giants, ruining Cutch's homecoming.
They came back, taking two from the White Sox.
The Bullpen is still suspect.
The offense has hit a stride, but they have been playing struggling teams.
Do you think that ownership will go out and get some pieces at the trade deadline or after the all-star break if the Pirates are in a good position?
The boys are currently on pace to win 96 games, and are tied for first in the division, the second best record in the NL, 5th best in all of baseball, and 3rd best home record in the MLB.
The Pirates are behind the Yanks and Phills.
The Padres are in town this weekend and are 10 games under .500 as the Bucs are 8 games over.
Jay-Hay is working out and playing in Altoona with the Curve on Rehab.
Taillon jokes about peeing on his finger to help it heal quicker.

Matt and Steve are talking about this week in sports updates, including:

River Hounds Defeated Toronto FC 2 last weekend 2-1.
F Neco Brett has been named to the USL Team of the week.
Indy Eleven Professional come to Highmark Stadium.
2 for 1 tickets for Mother's Day #MomsOnTheMon.
Next week on Wednesday the 16th the U.S. Open Cup begins in Eire against the Commodores FC.
The Riverhounds in 3rd place in Group A with 7MP, 10GF, 3GA, 15 points.
In MLB news, the Yankees/Red Sox game saw the Yanks win 17 of 18. They are tied for first place in the AL East with their 5 come-from-behind-wins this season.
In other words, it's a typical Sox/Yanks series with a 4 hr game, and a battle from the beginning.
Both teams are at .714% for wins, which is unheard of in baseball this time of year.
It was a no-hitter in Cananda for Seattle.
Jame Paxton throws 3rd NoNo in third country, this time being attacked by a Bald Eagle.
Jason Day won the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow Golf Course with a -12 in the warm-up to The Players at TPC Sawgrass in Jax FL.
Mickelson and Woods are paired together on Day 1 at 1:52pm.
Speith, Mcllroy and D.J. with other notables in the AM as well as some in the PM.
The Pirates had a big come-from-behind win in Chicago playing the White Sox.
They also won 10-6 over the W Sox.
Both wins were come-from-behind in the 9th.
The Bucs are winning against the teams they should be and taking a shelling against the teams they should be.
The team isn't bad. They need tweaked in the bullpen and the offense needs to be more consistent.
Cutch comes home for the weekend. I believe that he will have a super warm welcome.
The NBA Confrence Finals are set with Cleveland and Boston in the east and Golden State and Houston.
In NHL news, there is a Game 7 between Nashville and Winnipeg, with the Vegas Golden Knights awaiting the winner.
The Crapitols and Lightning are in the east Finals.
Steve's Penguins Beard is gone.
The Pens played their best.
Kessel has played most of the second half of the season and all the playoffs with injury.
Brassard got injured in the last week of the season and spent all playoffs also playing with injury.
The Caps played a hell of a series and their D was tough.
The Pens D, mainly Letang, made some dumb plays, and the Caps played better.
I'm mad, but not upset. For over 1000 days the Pens were Champions!!!

Matt and Steve are talking about this week in sports updates, including:

The Riverhounds had a 2-2 Draw vs Cincy last Saturday and have ATL UTD 2 coming to Highmark Stadium this Saturday.
This is ATL's first season in the USL.
Andrew Landry won last week at the Valero Texas Open in San Antonio with -17 for the tournament.
This week the PGA tour stops at the TPC at Louisiana.
Next week will be the tournament to watch at Quail Hollow in the Wells Fargo Championship as the guys gear up for The Players which is held at Sawgrass this year, taking out the 5th major this season.
In NFL draft news, Cleveland has the number 1 pick as well as the number 4. Steelers draft 28th but don't rule out a move up. the Draft runs all weekend.
Dez Bryant is reported to have turned down a multi-year deal from the Ravens.
The Ravens brought in Crabtree, Willie Sneed, and John Brown. They parted ways with Wallace and Maclin.
The Pirates are 13-11, losing 5 straight and 7 of 8, putting them 2.5 games back.
Jay-Hay still out a few more weeks.
The starting pitching isn't bad, but the the bull pen is sub par, and the offense has been spotty.
Sean Manaea of the A’s had a NO NO against the Red Sox.
Shohei Ohtani is making waves as a DH and a nasty pitcher for the Angels.
In NBA playoff news, LeBron hits a game winning 3 to win over the Pacers to go up 3-2.
The 76ers move on after eliminating the Heat.
D-Wade may be retiring after 15 seasons.
Steph Curry is practicing and looking to make a return in semi’s vs NO. He hasn't played since March 23rd with an MCL injury.
Philly faithful has been the talk about the NBA with Kevin Heart, AI, and Meek Mill appearances.
Pens move on and handle the Flyers.
Flyers fans at game 6 were the nastiest of nasty.
Hornquist was back for games 6, but Malkin was out (and will be out for game 1 vs the Caps).
Haglin didn't make the trip, though Malkin did.

In this week's NFL news, the guys take a rundown on draft picks and negotiation updates, as well as some rule changes heading into the 2018-19 season. We're just going to gloss over the Penguins' recent outing. They looked like poo against the Red Wings.

That's right, we know what happened to the majority of people's NCAA tournament brackets - and it makes this week's discussion that much more interesting as we take a look at both the men's and women's tournaments for NCAA basketball. Moving from college hoops to soccer, did you know you could get a River Hounds season ticket for $99? Listen in and we'll share how. As far as this week's PGA Tour news, we've got some updates and thoughts heading into the Masters. We also take a look at verbal harassment on the course and alcohol sales. Moving right along, Matt and Steve talk some Steelers updates, including signing news, discount options, updates on who's in and who's out, and an NFL free agency tracker. But, we're still a ways off from NFL season. Know which season we're not far away from? That's right - the Pirates are in spring training. While not perfect, things are looking better as we're about a week out from opening day across the league. Matt and Steve take a look at the problems the Pirates will be facing. We'll give you a hint for the top of that list: It starts with a "P" and rhymes with "Itching." Our crack team of sports enthusiasts is wrapping this week's episode with some Penguins updates. Murray is back, and our power play is still top in the league. But, the Flyers are one point behind and the Caps are four ahead - and, what's up with Columbus sneaking in there?!?! Matt and Steve give a round-up of the Pro Bowl game - including a rundown of who's who from the Steelers that were involved. This week's NHL news includes some All-Star Game updates. Because spring is almost around the corner, it's time to get the Buccos back into our regular talk. But first, it's some Chief Wahoo news coming out of Cleveland. The boys jump into some NBA updates with some trades and moves. As for NCAA, Matt and Steve touch upon Pitt, WVU, and Duquesne news. The show wraps up with some Penguins updates. The boys are keeping things going in the second half of the season while other teams are starting to fall off due to injuries and/or bad play. We're currently 3rd in the division with a possible comeback for Cullen? Before they go this week, Matt and Steve have a few things to say about everyone's favorite hockey guy, Jagr!

Matt and Steve otherwise break down their thoughts on the NFC and AFC Championship games, as well as some thoughts on the Steelers as we look ahead to next season. Moving on to NCAA hoops action, the guys take a look at homtetown ballers: Duquesne, Pitt, and RMU; as well as NCAA basketball in general. 'Tis the season, after all. The show had a nice retweet this week thanks to Adam Schefter! Otherwise, we're looking at the playoff picture. The boys are still running with their fantasy football bookings, and Steve is taking a bit of a lead in Week 1. But, college football is also an important thing. The guys talk about the National Championship game and the state of college football as a whole. From there conversation shifts to some NCAA hoops action. Matt and Steve touch on some of the big names from the week, including some hometown updates from Pitt, Pitt Ladies, an Duquesne. This week's Penguins updates are better than they've been. For starters, it's back-to-back wins for the first time in over a month. Matt and Steve otherwise take a look at where the Penguins are in the big picture, and break out who their team leaders are before shifting to the NFL playoffs. The Steelers are taking on Jacksonville (or Jags-on-ville as they boys like to call them). They're giving some thoughts on keys to win. Matt and Steve start this week's episode as they do - with their fantasy football standings. They've been running neck-and-neck all season. This week they're tied up on their weekly picks with a 1-point difference on their season standings as they're headed into the fantasy championships! In other news, it's Christmastime! But, apparently not for the Penguins. The boys bring us up to speed on their recent losing streak. Thankfully it's a long season and we have some time to correct the early follies. As for NCAA news, we're into the basketball conference season! Matt and Steve share some thoughts on that - as well as the start of NCAA hockey season. We saved the best conversation for last as the boys dive into NFL news. At the top of the segment? James ****ing Harrison. There are certainly thoughts on his move to New England. As far as actual Steelers gameplay, the team showed a lot of promise on their Christmas Day outing with plays by Bryant, Bell and JuJu. Matt and Steve head out of their Steelers wrap up with an overview of their thoughts for the playoff picture.

Matt and Steve are feeling pretty jolly this week as we head into Christmas. They've got an even playing field on this week's fantasy scores with 10-6 for both of them. And, they're neck-and-neck as far as their fantasy seasons go, too. But, it looks like Matt and Steve are both out of their respective leagues. As they recap some NCAA hoops action, Pitt, PSU, and WVU are all looking at some conference games after Christmas. In MLB news, there's some updates on what the Dodgers and the Yankees are up to. Apparently the Pirates are trying to work out a trade for Cole. Matt and Steve definitely have some thoughts on how that looks - as well as the status of talks with Cutch. Even though he's no longer a Penguin, the guys are keeping up with Fleury as he stood tall in their series with the Avalanche. They also touch base on recent Penguins moves, including the acquisition of Jamie Olesiak and some trade updates. We're headed into the home stretch of the football season! Pro Bowl selections are looking good as far as Steelers are concerned. But, it looks like we're going to be a couple guys short until further notice. And, don't get us started on the Patriots game. But, at least the boys have some great content for this week's podcast - including some thoughts on the reason for the game-ending call.

Matt and Steve are chugging along with their fantasy picks at the top of the show. But, then it's on to some hockey talk. With PK not at 100% and Malkin out, it's going to be a long season. At a quarter of the way through the season, the guys are taking a look at who they think is MVP worthy for the first quarter.

As promised, it's on to some NCAA discussion! Though they're the home team, Matt and Steve share some thoughts about horrible Pitt is. If any of our local teams should get a big bowl chance, the guys have some thoughts on PSU and WVU for that big picture. The picture for Pitt basketball isn't looking much better for their basketball game. They're not looking great, but it is a long season - so anything could happen. Moving on to Duquesne, they've got some Bobby MO!

Matt and Steve take a look at some Hall of Fame semi-finalists before heading into the Steelers thoughts for the week. With Marcus Gilbert suspended, it looks like Hubbard will be replacing him. Our boys in black and gold have some high power offense and a strong defense. Matt and Steve share their thoughts about how it'll all come together heading into the remainder of the season.
